It looks like Basel has made a habit of beating the Premiere league sides in the champions league, the have beaten Chelsea and Man United in the past and now they added Liverpool to that list. They might have sold their Egyptian star Salah to Chelsea but they still have a solid squad that capable of playing against the best teams in Europe. They know how defend and count attack with passe and purpose, they are lethal with set pieces.
It has to be said though, Liverpool were below par last night, they lacked that killer instinct that made them a team to beat last season, it is clear they miss Suarez and sturridge up front, they are going to struggle this season both domestically and in Europe they have a lot of talent but it will take time for them to jell, time they do have with the likes of Chelsea already having set the passe at the top of the Barclays Premiere League. I feel for Rogers though. I hope the boys jell and very soon or they will be out of touch.
